Autodesk rebrands Revit 2023 and all of its products

Autodesk introduced new rebranded product logos and colors for all of its 2023 software versions. According to Autodesk this “Dynamic, modern, and memorable Logos represents its direction toward the future.”

In addition to the new logo, Autodesk made changes to the brand colors, updating primary colors of black and white. Alongside these two primary colors, Autodesk introduce two detail grays, and four accent colors–clay, plant, iris and gold.

It seems like Autodesk frequently updates its product logos, possibly on a yearly or biennial basis. While I do appreciate the clean and bold design of the new logos, they do look quite similar to one another. This similarity might make it challenging for users to distinguish between different Autodesk icons on the taskbar. It reminds me of the rebranding of Google’s G Suite apps in 2020, which didn’t receive a positive response.

Not only branding

I hope that the “changes” implemented in the 2023 versions will address and resolve several significant known issues present in various Autodesk software. These updates will bring substantial improvements and fixes to enhance the overall user experience.
